Proper use of the word ‘extreme’

March 11, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Guess I never saw this cause I was a bit old when it came out. I probably would have watched it.

They do have episodes and clips on youtube, feel free to browse. I also love this even more now cause I looked it up on wikipedia and not only is there a Pteranadon character (my favorite dino), the description of Bullzeye is perfectly scripted for my life right now. Maybe I need to start wearing that dinosaur suit earlier than planned, sisterkungfuhustler you better get the bear suit ready.

The Colbert T-Rex

November 8, 2008 · Leave a Comment

colbert_trexI just randomly found this on the internet, so I really don’t have any idea what the context is. It looks like old-school Daily Show? Anyway, yeah. Stephen T. Colbert as a T-Rex? Awsome, right?

And they mention dinosaurs!

- suse

P.S.  For all of you getting here through the ‘flirg’ tag, the most reliable or plausible things that I’ve seen are ‘First Lady Is Really Gay’ and ‘First Lady Is Really a Guy’.  Though I’ve also seen ‘First Lady I’d Rather Get elected’, but that’s not something Clinton/Poehler would want people to stop calling her.  Plus, where’s the ‘e’?

Best. Show. Ever.

August 28, 2008 · 3 Comments

So in the midst of watching Shear Genius last night I was scanning around during a break, ya know, to find a show I could half pay attention to and flip to during commercials, and found the BEST SHOW EVER.

JURASSIC FIGHT CLUB!!!

Premise: Pick two Jurassic era creatures that could have encountered each other in their natural habitats, get awesome nerdy paleontologists to explain in depth info of the two, then, turn the paleos into commentators and have the creatures battle it out!

Hello, awesome!

Last night it was a Megalodon vs Brygmophyseter. Essentially, a 50ft predecessor of the Great White Shark and a pod of ginormous biting sperm whales. The show is great. Really, c’mon, it is done by the History Channel, they’ve got super nerdy dinosaur studiers on it, the graphics are good, and they have dinosaurs fighting! What more can you ask for?

I am so there

I am so there

Perhaps my new favorite love has emerged…

It’s a dinosaur!

July 27, 2008 · 3 Comments

Just because I think we need to make the dinosaur tag bigger:

Am I a moron for laughing at this?

Also, New York Girls (and our Santa Barbara affiliate!), what’s your favorite dinosaur? Mine’s been the Iguanodon since I learned about him in the 1st grade. Fonzie dinosaur!

Aaaayyy!

Aaaayyy!

Actually, it’s 5.5%

July 17, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Apparently my unemployment stat from yesterday was wrong. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics June 2008 saw an unemployment rate of 5.5%.

But the U.S. government just went up a notch in my book for using dinosaur icons.

Part of the 4.8%

July 16, 2008 · Leave a Comment

There are several joys to being unemployed (which I’m trying to embrace). For instance, today I had the opportunity to watch all the episodes of Project Runway Season 4 that I hadn’t seen yet. Thank god for Bravo’s marathons. Hence, I am much more appreciative of the hot tranny mess that the women of this page will lovingly delve into. Also, now I don’t have to wait for them to be available for viewing on Netflix.

While unemployed you also get try to coax the dog you are watching into the pool in the backyard. This means I got to use all sorts of toys, trickery and dogese. I failed miserably. Luckily, looks like I won’t have a job for at least the next two weeks, so we’ve got time. No worries.

But most importantly, being jobless lets you find amazing things like the almost-was opera Soccersongs. This was an opera that was to debut for the 2006 World Cup. It was commissioned by the German government as a collaboration between director Robert Wilson, music producer Hal Wilner, and singer-songwriter Herbert Groenemeyer. It was going to have inflatable items and robots, but more importantly, the opening scene was going to have dinosaurs and soccer. Seriously, amazing. Someone managed to combine pretty much my favorite things: dinosaurs, soccer and musicals. Oh Germany, how I love you so. I think this idea needs to be resurrected. Maybe we can get Alanis on board. Ferrrosh, can you ask her?
