This is Public Health

Best use of social media for public health I’ve seen in awhile. I’m going to have the chorus stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

nph teaches diversity…through shoes!
July 22, 2008 · 2 Comments
alrighty, first post!
i know how much everyone loves doogie and his amazing singing, so here he is on sesame street to teach us about how there are different types of shoes in the world. if i was a shoe, i’d probably be penny loafers – incredibly boring but ironically appreciated by a few.
also, his wings are awesome. i have no idea what the context is, but it just makes nph that much more amazing. i’m sure he just demanded to have them cause he’s nph.
enjoy!
love, lone,
laureen
p.s. i’m still thinking of a blogger name. my brother takes all the good ones involving our last name.

An excuse to eat at McDonald’s – and not feel guilty? Sort of.

Insane fundamentalist Christians don’t understand how capitalism functions
So apparently McDonald’s sponsored last year’s SF Gay Pride parade, and the AFA is all up in arms about it and are encouraging their members to boycott all McDonald’s chains. Why they don’t understand why a giant multi-national corporation would target a huge potential market like this, I don’t know.
The comments on the articles are the best though. I guess Chik-Fil-A will be getting more business than they ever dreamed?
